MyBlood in Frysk (Frisian)

Thanks to Liske Rynja MyBlood got translated into Frisian. Frisian is an official and protected language in the Netherlands.
Old English and Old Frisian have a lot in common. Words like kaai, swiet and tsiis (or key, sweet and cheese) are often given as examples of this, but that was in the 13th century…

MyBlood 1.3

We are happy to announce that the MyBlood 1.3 is now available.

The new version further grows the user experience of MyBlood by extending its navigation capabilities. In this version you have on all screens a ‘person list’ (that can be folded away in case you want more workspace) and that also holds the history of people on which you have been working, but also a bookmark section, allowing you to personalize and manage that list.

On the ‘People workspace’, the user now gets an overview of where that specific person fits into his (or her) generation.

Besides the extended navigation capabilities the new version also brings a completely redesigned task utility, allowing managing and organising tasks in a structured way. On top of that the search window now can also interrogate online genealogy sources like ancestry.com or familysearch.org

Last but not least, we also completed a new online help system to explain the features of MyBlood in more detail.

But there is more. To launch MyBlood 1.3 we also decided to offer a 30% discount on the first 3 days of its availability (until 2 August 2010, 23:00 CET).
An opportunity we thought you might be interested in.

So surf to www.myblood-line.com and seize this opportunity.

The MyBlood team

MyBlood 1.2

In MyBlood 1.2 we focused on connectivity with the world around us. We improved the output for your web-site by adding several layout styles you can select from and adding customization for pages and CSS. Statistics and feedback functionality has also been added.

Media can be uploaded to on-line communities. For this we added a share button, and we start with allowing you to upload media to Picasa.

Additionally we vastly improved the ‘get coordinates’ function in Places. Most places will now be found.

MyBlood 1.1

With MyBlood 1.1 we continue to improve the application and add some useful features in the process.

And we do have good news for you! From MyBlood 1.1 onwards we support PowerPC again. The newer Macs all run on Intel processors but there are still a lot of PowerPC users out there. We initially supported PowerPC but dropped support for it somewhere in the beta phase because it was easier to implement. With some effort we were able to push it back in again  into the product life cycle.

Besides  some bug fixes, we redesigned the Calendar window to display the calendar with the week days and so on. We extended the support for privacy to people, families, notes and events. On the import side, we now support the (none standard) _PRIM tag which specifies the primary image of a person, so you don’t have to reselect it anymore.

In MyBlood 1.1 you can see which events are linked to a media and you can go the event by clicking on “Go to event”.

There are more features to come in the next weeks and months. If you have any further requests… let us know!
